GETTING ILL

Getting ill is ,some Or the other way, connected with firms and   diseases.Girms  come from the world around us. These tiny living things are found in the air, in soil, in water and sometimes in food. Germs  can make one ill if they get inside the body through openings, such as the mouth ,the nose Or a cut in the skin. They can cause diseases, such as folds and flu.

Germs make you ill because they start living inside your body. Your body is made up of millions of tiny parts called cells. To live inside you, terms take your body's cells. This leaves your body feeling seeker. Germs also produce waste, and  when the waste gets into your system, it can make you very ill.

But, don't worry ! Your body can often fight disease. When germs get inside you, white blood cells in your blood start to make antibodies. These are special chemicals that find germs and then stick to them. This helps other white blood cells in your blood locate the germs and  destroy them. When you are sick, your body makes more  white blood cells to protect you.The antibodies help the white blood cells to recognise these germs so it can destroy them.

What are vaccinations?

Vaccinations are injections of a special medicine called a vaccine. Vaccines can prevent you from catching some serious diseases. A vaccine contains a harmless amount of a particular disease. When the vaccine is inside you, your body makes antibodies to attack it. These antibodies stay in your blood for a long time. If you ever catch the disease, they are ready  and  waiting to help destroy it. Most of the vaccines are given by injections.
